Dr. Kingston Mandisodza
Independent Non-Executive DirectorKingston is a retired individual with vast knowledge and experience in the Agriculture Industry. He earned a Diploma in Agriculture from Chibero College of Agriculture in 1968. He was then employed as an Assistant Publications Officer by Conex [Department of Conservation and Extension, now Agritex]. He studied at Cornell University, New York State, where he obtained a BSc in Agriculture, an MSc in Animal Science (minoring in Animal Nutrition), and a PhD in Animal Science (minoring in Animal Nutrition, and in International Agriculture).
He served as an Assistant Professor of Animal Science at Tuskegee University, Alabama, for two years before returning to Zimbabwe. At home he took up employment with the Pig Industry Board for 17 years, first as a Senior Research and Development Officer before being promoted to Directorship, (Chief Executive Officer).
During his tenure as PIB CEO, he would oversee the Board’s commercial operations and established the PIB satellite Station in Bulawayo. He then went to work for Africa University (Mutare) as a Senior Lecturer in Animal Science for 12 years later. He wound down his formal employment career, by briefly serving as the CEO of the Seed Potato Co-operative.
